Managed switches
Full control for networks that need segmentation, monitoring and redundancy.

Networking equipment
ZOMSOL supplies switches, routers and wireless equipment from Cisco, HP, TP-Link and D-Link, and helps you settle ports, speeds and power budget before you buy.
Overview
Managed, smart and unmanaged Ethernet switches, PoE and PoE+ switches, multi-gigabit switches, business and Wi-Fi routers, and wireless equipment for office networks, surveillance systems and Wi-Fi coverage.
Recent examples from ZOMSOL's own product listings include the HP 1920-8G-PoE+ smart managed switch, the TP-Link TL-SL1218P 16-port PoE+ rackmount switch, TP-Link 2.5G and 10G switches, the D-Link AX3200 (R32) Wi-Fi 6 router, and Cisco small-business switching. Stock changes, so confirm the current model when you enquire.
Why it matters
Switches are usually chosen on port count and price. In practice they set three limits that are expensive to change later.
Port speed and uplink type (copper, SFP or SFP+) cap what every connected device can reach, including Wi-Fi access points that are faster than a single Gigabit link.
Cameras, access points and IP phones draw power from PoE ports. Too small a PoE budget and some of them stay dark once everything is connected.
VLANs, traffic priority and monitoring only exist on smart and managed switches. Without them, cameras, guests and staff share one flat network.
Product categories
Each category is matched to the situation it suits. If you're unsure which applies, describe the site and devices and we'll narrow it down together.
Full control for networks that need segmentation, monitoring and redundancy.
Core management features through a browser, at a lower cost than fully managed models.
Plug-and-play desktop and rackmount switches for simple expansions and small offices.
Power and data over one cable for IP cameras, access points and IP phones, sized by total PoE budget.
2.5G, 5G and 10G ports for Wi-Fi 6 access points, servers, storage and backbone uplinks.
Business and Wi-Fi 6 routers and wireless equipment for the internet edge and coverage.

Power over Ethernet
PoE removes the need for a power outlet at every device. The catch is budget: a switch might offer PoE on every port but only enough total power for some of them at full draw. Size it on the combined load, with headroom.
| Standard | Power per port (at switch) | Typical devices |
|---|---|---|
| PoE (IEEE 802.3af) | Up to 15.4 W | IP phones, fixed IP cameras, basic access points |
| PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) | Up to 30 W | Dual-band access points, cameras with heaters or IR |
| PoE++ (802.3bt Type 3) | Up to 60 W | High-performance access points, PTZ cameras |
| PoE++ (802.3bt Type 4) | Up to 90 W | Displays, thin clients and other high-draw devices |

Routing & Wi-Fi
Routers and Wi-Fi decide how the office reaches the internet and how laptops and phones reach the network. ZOMSOL supplies business routers and Wi-Fi 6 equipment, and can help match coverage and capacity to the space and the number of users.
Choosing a switch
The right tier depends on how much of the network you need to see and control, not on the size of the organisation.
| Consideration | Unmanaged | Smart / web-managed | Fully managed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Setup | Plug in and use | Browser-based configuration | CLI and/or web; needs network knowledge |
| VLANs | No | Yes, basic | Yes, full |
| Monitoring | Port LEDs only | Limited statistics | SNMP, logging, detailed port statistics |
| Typical use | Adding ports in a small office | Offices separating staff, guest and camera traffic | Core and distribution layers, multi-floor sites |
Yes. Cisco networking equipment is among the products ZOMSOL supplies, alongside HP, TP-Link and D-Link. Please confirm current availability of a specific model when you enquire.
PoE (IEEE 802.3af) provides up to 15.4 W per port at the switch; PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) provides up to 30 W. Dual-band access points and cameras with heaters often need PoE+. The switch also needs enough total PoE budget for every powered device at once.
You need at least a smart (web-managed) switch to separate traffic with VLANs, for example keeping CCTV, guest Wi-Fi and staff devices apart. Fully managed switches are worth it for core and distribution layers, or where you need detailed monitoring.
Yes. Share the number of cameras, their power requirement, where the recorder sits and the cable distances involved, and ZOMSOL can suggest a PoE switch with a suitable port count and power budget.
Model numbers if you have them. Otherwise the number of devices, PoE needs, required speeds, uplink type (copper or fibre) and quantities. Your timeline helps too.
Send the models you are considering, or describe the site and devices. We will help settle the specification and quote it.
